What Khumio is
Khumio helps you keep track of your own money and money you share with others. It is not a bank. It does not hold or move money and never connects to your bank. The balances in Khumio are what you and the people you share with have recorded, not what is in any account.
Not financial advice
Insights, Ask Khumio and anything an AI says in the app describe your own records. They are not financial advice. For advice about investments, credit or insurance, speak to a registered financial adviser.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Use a real email address. It is how you sign in and how we reach you.
Shared wallets
When you share a wallet, its members see what is in it, and what they record becomes part of it. Only invite people you trust with that wallet. If you leave, or delete your account, what you recorded in a shared wallet stays there, shown as from a former member, because the others rely on it.
AI accounts you connect
If you connect your own AI account, you use it under that provider’s terms and pay them for what you use. We are not responsible for what the provider does with what is sent to it, or for its answers.
Fair use
Do not use Khumio to break the law, to harm others, to get at someone else’s information, or to overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.
The service
We work to keep Khumio available and your information safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for decisions you make based on what the app shows.
Price
Khumio is free today. If we ever add paid features, we will tell you the price before you pay anything.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Account › Your profile. If we ever close Khumio, we will give you reasonable notice first.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
